ANZAC DAY.
In accordance with the wishes of the New Zealand Government, memorial ’services will he held in the Town Hall to-morrow, Anzac Day, to commemorate the landiny of Ihe New Zealand troops at Gallipoli, end to perpetuate the memory of all New Zealand troops who fell (hiring (ho great war. Hervices will commence at 3 o’cdock. The singing will he led by the •children, under the leadership of Mr R. T. Betty, and accompanied by the Borough and Salvation Army Bands. The address will he delivered hy the .Rev, Thus, llalliday. An ex-lieutenant of the Imperial Army, now in Fox I on, writes as follows :—■ “So you have decided to go hack to New Zealand again ’ Well, goodbye, dear old sport, and well played. Mind you tell our kinfolk out there just how proud wo are of the way their hoys food the line. The Old Country will never forget, nor cease to he grateful, and every Anzac Day we shall he will) them, especially in reverently commemorating those •gone west’ belonging to that line lot
