FOOTBALL.

' There was a good attendance at , the meeting of all interested in resuscitating football in this district, held in the Town Hall supper-room last evening. Air F. D. Whiblcy occupied the chair. After the object of the meeting had been explained, it was unanimously decided to form a club, to be (-ailed the Foxlon Football Club, and to ontor'both a senior and junior team in the llorowlie--nua Rugby Fnion's competitions, The following ollicers were elected: President, Air H. McMnrray: Club captain, Mr J. Desmond; secretary and treasurer, Mr E. McEwen; management committee, Messrs O'Reilly, Baker, T. Smith. White, and Irving; coach, (senior) Air J. Desmond, (junior) Mr R. Roore; delegates to Union, Messrs J. O'Donoghue, F. A. Williams, and F. D. Whibley; selection committees, the captain, vice-captain and coach of each team (senior and junior). The annual subscription was lixed at 7s (id .for seniors and 5s for juniors. ™ Air L. J. Furrie, who was present at the meeting, promised to assist the coach and players as far as possible. H was decided. Unit the Club colours be yellow and black. The question of grounds was discussed, and it was-decided to approach the Council for permission to use Easton Park. It was decided to have the first practice match on Saturday next.
