FATAL ACCIDENT.

MOTOR CYCLIST KILLED.

An unusual fatality occurred yesterday, near Iho Awapuni racecourse. A young man, Neil Ncilsen, avus riding a motor cycle along Maxwell's June about -1.30 p.m.. when lie overtook a raceliurse ridden by a lad. A,s ho approached, the Imr-i shied violently, and swerving, lashed out, kicking Ncilsen on the I'orcliead. lie was thrown from his machine, and immediately collapsed. There was a deep lacerated •pash on the temple, and when examined by Dr. Putnam a few minutes later he was dead.' The deceased was well-known in this district, having been employed at the Whitaumu Alili for some .time past. He was on his way hack to Foxfon when the accident occurred. An inquest is being held this afternoon.
