A meeting of owners and occupiers of land within the flooding areas of the Mauawatu and Oroua rivers will be held at the office of the Mauawatu A. and P. Association, Palmerston North, on Monday next, at 11.30 a.m. The business of the meeting is to consider the question of forming a River Board for the purpose of effectively dealing with the channels of the Mauawatu and Oroua rivers, so as to protect the adjoining, lands from damage by flood waters. All property owners within the affected areas are urgently invited to be present.
