The final result of the Manawatu Centre’s bowling tournament was: Newtown (Prince, Manning, Ferguson, Wylie), 20; Si.-John’s (Smart, ■ipw-lings, liarkncss, 'Scrivener), 16. It was a splendidly contested game. The scores were even at the ninth, eleventh, thirteenth, and fifteenth heads. Scrivener led hy 1 at the seventeenth, and Wylie was 2 up at the 20th, In the last head Wylie lay 2, and Serivener just missed a firm draw and a drive.
