BETTING TELEGRAMS.
TRA.NSMISSION PROHIBITED
The transmission of telegrams of the following character is hereby prohibited hy Order-in-Gouncil gazetted vesterday;—•
■ Telegrjims which are indecently or obscenely‘worded, or which appear to contain 'matter of a treasomihle, seditious, libellous, or grossly offensive character. Telegrams in phi in language relating to helling or to investments on the totalis;! tor, or in coded language vc;isiumhiy supposed to relate to heitmg or to investments on the iotalKalor. Money-order telegrams addressed to a racing clul', or to a secretary or oilier officer, agent, or .-.j rvjinl of a racing chib, relating to investments on 1 lie (nijihsator. alii money-order telegram jiddressed to jinv person who has been convicted in a court ofdaw under the Gaming Act, 1908, or any amendment thereof. of any -offence relating to helling or to investments on the lotjilisator. Telegrams relating to Customs duties (hiring any period lor which the transmission thereof is prohibited hy the Minister of I degraphs. Telegrams instigating oi aiding the commission of any criminal offence or fraud.
