LOST IN THE HILLS.

■UFA’ FOIA’D EXHAUSTED. Two young men who sel out for a walking tour from the Kaituna Rest House with the intention of proceedingl to Alcaroa, .got lost in the hills. Neither was aefpminted with the route, and they trusted to their sense of direction. One of the men arrived at Ihe Hill Top Hotel in an ill and exhausted condition, and was unable to give a connected story. It was gathered, however, that Ids companion was lying in a gully. Search parties were formed, and the missing man was found at the foot of a hill, in a delirious condition. He was placed on a horse, and alter being medically attended to was removed to the Christchurch hospital.
