On Saturday afternoon a rink from Terrace End visited Foxton and played a friendly match with a local rink. The visitors won by a margin of eight points. The teams and: scores were as follows; — Hold D. Whibley Tremewan Woods Wallace F. Whibley Davidson (s) 23 Nyo (s) 35
The Alanawatu Centre’s annual Easter Tournament will be commenced to-morrow. Seventy rinks, from clubs from all parts of the North Island, have entered, and the following greens will lie used : Palmerston two, Terraco End, Manawatu, and Feilding, one each. Fox!on will bo represented by one rink, as follows^; —R. Roore, M. 11. Walker, W • Xye, F. J). Whibley (s). The draw Ims placed Foxtou in Section B. and they have been drawn lo play against the following;—Friday (Feilding green). Nicholson (Woodville) ; llemlry (Lower Hull); Stephenson (Palmerston). Saturday (Palmerston green), Fraser (St. Johns), Mcßratney (Pahiatua), Hankins (Manawatu). Monday (.Manawatu green), Pnddle (Newtown), Xoa.d (Lyuil Bay), Whyte (Carterton). A very interesting game for the Nye Ferns was played yesterday afternoon. Right up I" the. nineteenth head the .-'Coring was particularly close, and with two heads jo play the board read lo all. On the twentieth head, however, the holders put on a six, which decided the game, the challengers being four down at the finish. The teams and scores were: — Raine ■ D.
