AGAINST COST OF LIVING.
BIG DEMONSTRATION AT WANGANUI. Wanganui, March 28. A big demonstration of protest against the cost of living am|| profiteering was held this afternoon, and was attended by about four thousand people, representative of all walks in life in Wanganui. The proceedings were most orderly, and were marked by earnestness. Speeches were delivered by Mr W. A. Yeitch, M.P., Mr Foster (representing the railwayman and returned soldiers), and the Revs. Blamircs and Jcnkin. A resolution was unanimously earned protesting against the increased cost of living, and demanding that the Government take adequate measures at the earliest moment to give relief to the people by preventing profiteering.
