As (he playing area on the Palmerston greens will he insufficient to accommodate ail the howlers, the secretary of the Manawain Centre (Mr J. If. Simmons) has arranged for the use of I lie Feilding green for the tournament. The Foxton rink is as follows: — Roore, Woods, Nye, F. Whildey (s). A .match for (he Stevenson Pennants was played on Thursday night, when the holders, Christie and Stevenson, defeated the challengers, Raino and Mercer, by 28 points to 23, after a very close and interesting game. -The challengers had a lead of one on the last head, winch was a full length one, hut they failed to “gel up," and were six down when the last bowl had been played.
