RAILWAY ACCIDENT.
SEVERAL PASSENGERS INHERED. Levin, Ve: lerday. In order to climb the Pukerna Saddle, near Plinimerton, on Saturday, the Ja.-i train to Palmerston was divided at. the hoi tom. When ihe engine was returning for the second section, its impact with the carriages was so severe as to cause injuries to several passengers. I wo of (hem, Stanley Wilbers, with severe cuts on I he face, and W. Steele, suffering from severe -hock - , were taken lo the Olaki Hospital. Withers was discharged yesterday, but Steele is still in (be institution. The carriages were damaged, and the train dolaved for two'hours.
