A serious accident occurred at Paraeroa sawmill on Thursday morning. A young man named Tocker laid both hands cut off at Ihe mill. He was aliended lo by Dr. Griffm, and taken to Taihape Hospital. TV 1 mill is situated at Manga turoa, on the Pipiriki road, about three miles from Raetihi.

The Hreyinoul h Argus otlice, a large two-storey wooden building, was gutted by lire on Thursday morning. The lire originated in the MotWoom, and had a good hold when the brigade arrived. The building; was saved from total (lest met ion. Paper, books, and movable parts of the machinery were

Wo understand that quantities of telegraph forms have been removed from I lie local Post Office recently. These forms are provided for use as telegrams ynly,. and a severe penalty is provided in the Amendment A,cl of last session if persons are convicted of using them for any other purpose.
