WITHHOLDING OF WOOL.
■ GROWER INVITES LEGAL ACTION. The circular letter recently issued by the Prime Minister, regarding’ the action of certain woolgrowers holding back their wool under the impression that the Imperial requisition would be lifted on June 30th has been the subject of a protest by Mr IV D. Lysnar, M.P. “As a woolgrower who is advisedly withholding his wool,” Mr Lysnar, in a letter to Mr Massey, says:—“As you officially say I am committing an offence I invite you and your Government to take immediate action againsl me, as I have no desire to intentionally disregard or break the law in connection with this ‘commandeer,’’and at present, as far as I can learn and af legally advised, I am not breaking any law, but on the contrary your Government and the Imperial authorities have been breaking both the tonus of the original contract and disregarding the law your Government has placed on the Statute Book, and 1 ask you to immediately put me rigid by taking action against me,'
