MINISTERS’ ASSOCIATION.
The local Ministers' Association held their monthly meeting at the Presbyterian Clause yesterday. Presentßev. Paine (Anglican), Rev. Harding (Methodist), Kev. Halliday (Presbyterian), and Captain ClotHn (Salvation Army). Rev. Paine was elected president for the ensuing year, and Kev. Halliday secretary.
After routine business was over it. was agreed that for Anzae Day the Association should co-operate with the Borough Council regarding an appropriate service for the occasion.
A cordial invitation was extended to Mr Robert Ilarkness (of the Clmpman-Alexamler Mission) to give an “Illustrated Lantern Evening of Sacred Song and Story round •the world” on Friday, April 150th. Full particulars will be published later.
It was agreed to hold an united service, till cliurehes assisting, (‘very Tuesday evening, at T. 3!) o’clock. A number of other matters for the moral and spiritual welfare of the town were discussed.
