RETAILERS’ ASSOCIATION.
A special meeting of the local Retailers’ Association was held in the Red Shield Club yesterday morning. Mr Baruddiam (president) occupied Ihe chair, U was unanimously decided to close all day on Wednesday, March 3rd, on the occasion of• the State School picnic al Ashhurst. t It was suggested that 'in. view of the visit of His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales to 1 lie Ho min ion,. that the authorities he asked Unit the Prince motor through Poxloii* from Palmcr.-um K., joining his carriage at- Levin. The -subject was held over I 111 a later meeting. Messrs Christie and Ricier reported re the meeting convened to discuss the holding of a picnic and sports on March 17th. - The delegates staled that a further meeting was to be held to discuss the matter. It was decided to' hold the next ordinary meeting on '.March sth, at 7.30 p.m., when various important matters will be discussed of interest to retailers.
