Shong Lee notifies the local public that he will re-open the laundry in Park Street as from the 28th instant. Messrs Burn and Trevelyan, two returned soldiers, have decided to open up a taxi-service locally. Two new and up-to-date cars have been obtained, and will be .available for hire at all limes of the day or night. Orders left at Ihe Diggers’ Fruit Shop will receive prompt attention. The annual general meeting of members of the Foxton Chamber of Commerce will be held in (he Council Chambers on Monday evening next, at 8 o’clock, when the report for the past year, and the statement of receipts and expenditure, will bo submitted.
