ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
Dunedin, I’d*, 15. Lc.-1-t Vernon Cliff, single, 21 yours of age, residing at Caversham,, was drowned while bathing at St. Clair on Saturday. ' - i ' Invercargill, Feb. 15, Jean MacDonald,-20 years of age, belonging to Clifton, was. shooting rabbits on Saturday, Avbeu she accidentally shot herself in the abdomen. She was operated on in the Southland Hospital, but died, this morning.. Dargaville, Feb. 15. James W. Adams, 45 years of age, 1 a blacksmith at Kaihu,, committed suicide on Saturday morning by taking “Hough on Huts.” His wife and children ’were visiting South, except one child, who he, asked to go to a neighbour, as he was going to take poison. Dr. Burton went out from Dargaville, hut Adams died shortly afterwards. He leaves a wife and nine children. Deceased had been giving way to drink.
