RIFLE SHOOTING.
■ Last. Saturday the'third’and last shoot for Mr C. Symons’ prizes of £l, 12s and 8s was held, 1 at ranges of 200 and 500 yard,-. The weather was' overcast and breezy, shooting being good, especially.at 50 ) yards. The results are as follows: — Yds. Yds. • 200 500 Hep. Tl. J. Rider 30 31 4 05 H. Frankland 30 30 3 'O3 R. Hand 29 28 5 02 H. McKegney 28 31 2 01 C. Rand 25 33 2 00 IV. Symons 29 20 3 58 A. Barnard 27 31 - 58 Counting the two best shoots, the final results show that J. Hitler won the trophy, valued at £l,.with a total pf 124. H. McKegney and H. Frankland lied for second prize, with 123 each, so it was decided to Ore another four rounds and sighter each, to decide it. This resulted in H. Frankland winning Ihe 12s, H. McKegney getting the third prize of Ss. H. Rand eamc fourth with 129, A, Barnard and C. Hand fifth (119), and W. Symons sixth (117). A meeting will be held this week to arrange next Saturday’s shoot, and other important matters.
