MANAGER’S REPORT. The gas works manager’s report, a.- follows, was read and adopted at last night’s •meeting of the Borough Council: — “1 was unable to finish the meter reading in' time for the Council meeting,’on account of the ..xlra work in works. Unfortunately Ihe stoker has been lam up with milueuza and pneumonia, but is now on the mend again, and hopes to he hack soon. So far I have been unable to have my holidays, and would ask your permission to have a tortnighl in place of one week when (lie stoker gets well. The plant is working satisfactorily.
