BOROUGH FINANCES.
The Borough Treasurer reported at last night’s Council meeting as follows: — The sum of £37(5 4s Od was received during the month of, January, 1920, and was placed lo the credit of accounts as under; District fund account £3(59 (is (id, cemetery account £6 17s lid. The balances of the various accounts at the Dank of iSTew Zealand at the.3lst January, 1920, were as follows: —Cemetery £64 7s 2d, contractors' deposits £3, hospital and charitable aid board £l3 14s 10d, library £1 9s Od, reserves £47 18s 7d, .sanitation £lB2 13s Id, town hall £163 10s lOd, ail in credit, a total of £4v(i 13s (id. - Lhe accounts at debit were: Imprest cash £lO, gas works £56 17s 4d, general £247 6s (id, and imprest £440 17s lOd, total £761 Is Bd.
