THE SAMOAN TRIP.
AND THE .COST OF LIVING. A well-attended meeting of the Petone Woollen Workers' Union the following, motion unanimously:—“That this meeting desires- to record its entii’e disapproval of the proposed Parliamentary trip to Samoa, and suggests that , Parliament should assemble at once to give consideration to, and endeavour to steady, the ever-increasing' cost of living, for instance, the coal question, the cost of clothing,-' etc. Should Parliament: go into the latter question, this union proffers.its services, as we believe that the cost <of woollen goods is out of all proportion to the cost of manufacture.”
