WEDDING.
BOAG—PODMOKE. A pretty wedding of local interest took place on Wednesday last, 2Sth inst., at the Methodist Church, Avenue Road, when Amy, only daughter of Mr and Mrs C. H. Podmore, was united in holy matrimony to James Edward, eldest son of Mr and Mrs J. W. -Bong, of Ponsonby, Auckland. 1 The ceremony was performed by the Rev. A. Harding. The bride, who was -given away by her father, wore u dainty frock of white crepc-de-chcno with'a ninon overdress/ She also w'ore a prettily embroidered veil, and carried a bouquet of white dahlias and asparagus fern. , The bride was attended by Miss Boag, sister of the bridegroom, and Miss Elsie Hudson,
cousin of the bride, as bridesmaids, who wore white erepe-de-chene frocks and white hats, and carried bouquets of pale pink' roses and carnations. The bridegroom was attended by his brother as best man, and by Mr E. Cowley, of Auckland, as groomsman. After the ceremony a, reception was held at Mr Walls’ tea-rooms, a very pleasant fifnclion, at which the usual toasts were honoured, the guests afterwards proceeding to the home of the bride’s parents The bridegroom’s "gift to the bride was an opal ring, and to the bridesmaids pretty brooches. The artistically arranged banquets were the work of Mrs F, Procter. ’ ,
Laler in Hie afternoon the happy couple left for a honeymoon lour of the South Island. The bride’s travelling dress was a navy serge costume, with while gabardine front, and a hat of white satin. The future home of Mr and Mrs Boag will be at. Iltmlly.
