FRAUD AND THEFT.

At the Police £ourt to-day Frank Stokes, alias Tozer, pleaded guilty to nine charges of fraud and theft. The charge.- included the forgery of two s cheques and uttering them, also uttering Valueless cheques? •;|so theft of dress material. The evidence showed that in one instance accused signed an agreement to purchase- a motor ear loi £530. and gave a cheque for £s(l as a deposit. In another instance li'c arranged the purchase ot a farm, and gave a cheque for £SO as a deposit. A third ease was another £SO deposit. He was committed Tor sentence.
