FOXTON SOLDIERS’ MEMORIAL FUND.
Mr. ..Ed. Barber telephoned us ami made enquiries- re the fund to erect - a memorial to local fallen soldiers. “Right,” said Mx Barber, put the Henry Barber Estate down for £25.” ’ The list closes at the end of this month. The objective aimed at is £SOO. With less than a fortnight to go another £250 will be necessary to reach the objective. Faith is a good thing, but without works it is dead. It "is hoped that a few large lirms operating locally will send along substantial donations, but the fund should be as general as possible. That is to say, every resident should endeavour to contribute a little to the memorial. Don’t forget that the list doses on the 31st. The following is a complete list up to date of donations to the above fund: —
