A packed house is anticipated at the Royal to-night when “The Sentimental Bloke” will be screened. Now those characters are to he brought before the 800,000 weekly patrons of the motion pictures, for C. J. Dennis’ story, “The Sentimental Bloke," has been adapted to the screen. The piclurc itself is a distinct achievement, jelleeting (he whole spirit of the book, with every word of sub-titles taken from “The Sentimental Bloke," and thus even more firmly , establishing the connection between book and picture. To-morrow night, “Opportunity,” featuring Viola Dana, is the chief attract ion. It is one of the brightest and cleverest film stox’ies yet shown. A special programme has been obtained for Christmas night, and on Friday, “Satan in Sydney,” a revelation of that side of Sydney that ~ * most people know nothing about.
