The High Commissioner cables as follows; —■
The Manila market is firm and active; J grade, October |o March shipment being quoted at £53 by buyers at the beginning of this week. It was later sold at £53 15s, and yesterday £54. February-April shipments have been sold for £54 10s. The output Ist January to 13th December was 1,045,000 hales. New Zealand market firm, with moderate demand. High-point on spot quoted at £52 hy sellers; Octo-her-Dccember shipments have been sold for £49. Fair on spot has been sold at £46 15s. Nominal quotation Oetobcr-Decemher shipment now £46.
