A second Council oi' Wav at Lille has demanded the extradition of several German officers, among whom is Comnuindant Evers. At Le Catelel, north of St. Quentin, he had five English prisoners shot afafter having first compelled them to carry their own coffins to the place of execution. Feeny and Foeuy, chartered patent agents, of Queen Victoria Street, London, have aroused the wrath of it former German customer of theirs, according to a Berlin newspaper, hy declining to address him as “dear sire' On the German protesting against this omission, the firm wrote! —“We do not intend to discuss the point, and. we do not wish to become hypocrites. It is obviously impossible for us to. address a German as ‘dear sir.’ ”
It is stated that Woolwich Arsenal has an order for a hundred locomotives in hand, and the manufacture of milk churns is also proceeding, employing large numbers of workers. Sir Philip Sasson, the member for Hythe, has purchased an Avro type of aeroplane. His intention is to tly this machine principally from London to his residence, near Lympue. The honourable member anticipates (lying there, nearly 70 miles, in three-quarters of an hour, thus saving three-quarters of an hour on the railway journey, which by the fastest train takes on an average one and a-half hour.
