ROYAL PICTURES.
To-iiiglit, at the Royal, the programme screened last night will he repeated. For to-morrow night the star attraction is “The Little Mother.”' In this, the performance of little Emmie Gorman, a wee girlie of only six summers, is so extraordinary that it is nothing less than an inspiration. The genius of little children, especially of the gentler sex. is so marked, and their ability to imitate their elders is so proverbial, that screen history contains many brilliant examples of unusually talented juveniles. The story of “The Little Mother” was specially written for this child-wonder, and is both human and convincing, blending joy and sorrow, laughter and tears, in a series of home- pictures that can only enhance and increase one’s natural love of children. A child avlio can portray all the emotions of an adult is a rara avis, and there is no doubt that Baby Em, Gorman does this and more.
For Tuesday, the great attraction, “'The Sentimental Bloke," has been secured, and those who want to make sure of seeing ibis splendid him should hook their seats without delay.
