MASONIC RELIGIOUS SERVICE.

Every seat was occupied in the local Presbyterian Church on Sunday evening, when the brethren of tiie local Alasonic Lodge attended Divine service. The brethren did not attend in regalia, hut occupied seats with (heir wives, and among the congregation. A male choir led the singing, and contributed the hymns “Fierce Raged the Tempest,” and “Load Kingly Light” (Bro, J. Ale Coll Caking the second verse as a solo), Bro. J. AI. Barr sang the solo, “Seek Ah the Lord,” and Alessrs Bangs and Bro. 11. Osborne a duel. The service opened with the National Anthem and the Hymn, “Our God Our Help in Ages Past.” Other hymns were, “Courage, Brother, do not Stumble,” and “Onward Christian Soldiers.” Rev. Bro. Thos. Holliday look for his subject “The Three Degrees in our Religious Life.” The key-note of the discourse was Charity, iu its relation to burden-hearing. The discourse was followed with close attention, the only fault being its brevity. The service was marked by its simplicity, and being devoid of anything spectacular.
