GRAND CHRISTMAS DISPLAY.
Our representative, by special invitation, recently paid a visit of inspection to A. N. Smith s Drapery and Clothing Establishment. This progressive, firm is to be congratulated on its achievement in placing before the public of Foxlon and surrounding districts such a wide range of useful and inexpensive goods suitable for Christmas and New Year gifts. One cannot fail to tic impressed with the dainty designs in Ladies’ Blouses, comprising the latest styles in silk, voile, cotton georgette, and erepc-de-ehene. Ladies’ Silk Hose and Gloves, in all the newest shades, make a very attractive showing. A special feature of the display is tlfe tine range of Ladies' and Children’s Fancy Handkerchiefs. These can he purchased singly or in artistic boxes containing three or sis handkerchiefs. A good range of antimony-ware is also on view, including plain and fancy designs in sweets dishes, photo-fram-es, jewel boxes, ink stands, etc. These goods are very reasonably priced, and make ideal Christmas gifts. The children have not been forgotten; dolls, picture hooks, kewpios, fancy silk hags, heads, rubber halls, etc., should make the task of choosing gifts for the little ones an easy matter. In the men’s department is shown a splendid selection of ties, silk handkerchiefs, tussore and white silk shirts, braces, coloured socks, tennis and neglige shirts, men’s and hoys’ suits, etc. Altogether the display is well worth an early visit from all intending Christmas shoppers.*
