EVERY right-thinking person will agree with Mr D. Fraser, ALP., that the evifs'of profiteering, hind aggregation, and all other forms of greed and selfishness which stands in the way of the people’s well-being
should be removed. They will also agree that life must not be subordinate lo wealth, bat vice versa. Further, (hey will give him credil for his conscientious luiniauitarianism. They will differ with him, however, as to the best melliods lo be adopled to remedy these evils, and . in .(his comiection, while giving credil lo (he extreme Labour section, let il not he forgotten that other pulitieians and other political parties are not without bowels of compassion. Reforms must come, bill not by revolutionary methods, but rather by an evolutionary process upon constitutional lines. Extreme Labour can assist in bringing about these reforms, but in our opinion some of the methods they suggest would lead the country to disaster.
