MANAWATU COUNTY COUNCIL.
MONTHLY MEETING. The monthly meeting of the Maim watu County Council was held at Sanson on Tuesday. Present: Crs. H. H. Hunt (in the chair), AY. J. Phillips, J. Boyce, W. S. Penny, W.; E. Barber. CORRESPONDENCE.
The Minister of Public . AA r orks wrote, stating that provision could not be made this year on the estimates for raising the road in front of the Rangiotu Post Office. —Received. '
The secretary of the Rangiotu Co-operative Dairy Company;wrote forwarding a claim of £l2 l3s 4d for goods lost in transit on tram. — Held over for further enquiries. The Boston Chamber of Commerce wrote, stating that the following resolution had been sent to the Minister of Crown' Lands : “That the Commissioner of Crown Lands take steps to deal with the weed known as goatsrue on Native lands under the jurisdiction of the Crown. —Received.
The clerk of Poxton Borough Council wrote, asking that a road be constructed, on the scenic reserve known as the Round Bush. —It was decided that the clerk write for further information. BATE BOLL.
