Much sympathy is felt for the bereaved husband, who is loft with an infant child. The Jute Airs Jacobson was only 29 years of age. The funeral will take place to-morrow, leaving Air Jacobson’s residence, Union Street, at 2 p.m., for the Foxton cemetery.

On Saturday afternoon a narrow escape of a very serious accident occurred on the Rangitikei line, by a collisio.il between two motor cars, Air AVAL Lovelock, with Airs Lovelock and Air J. A. Nash, ALP., were returning from the Folding races in a car driven by Air Lovelock, and when approaching Palmerston N. on the Rangitikei line they.met and collided head on with another car driven by Captain W. Smith. The impact was so great that all the occupants were thrown out of the ears, and the wonder is that (hey did not receive more serious injuries. Airs Lovelock sustained injuries to her head and neck, and Air Lovelock was severely bruised, while Air Nash escaped with a bad shaking and bruises about'the head.
