Rowing Club. —We are pleased to note the completion of (he shed built by the local rowing club on the river bank, for bousing their two racing boats. Sports.'—A. wager of £lO aside has been made between Mr Howe and Mr Hillary to "run a 300 yards race. The same sportsmen have also arranged to pull a match from the wharf round the black buoy at Hartley’s and back —the slakes for this race to be £2O asid£ Both events are to come off on Boxing Day. The fiat race will probably cause the most excitement.
