BOROUGH BY-ELECTION.
Very little interest was taken in the by-election yesterday to fill the vacancy on the Borough Council caused through the resignation of Cr, Hannah, only 177 voters going to tire poll, out of a roll number of, roughly, 1,000. The result was announced by the Returning Officer (Air W r . Trueman) shortly before half-past seven, when there were about 20 electors present.
