BOWLING.

The first match in the Triangular contest between the Levin, Foxton and Shannon Clubs will be played on the Levin green to-morrow afternoon, when two rinks each from Shannon and Foxton will play four ■rinks from the Levin Club. The following teams will represent Foxton: —D. Whibley, Barr, Mandl, F. Whibley (s); Heasman, Walker, Christie, Woods (s).

A team from the Terrace End Club, consisting of Anderson, Wallace, • Carter and Rankin (skip), visited the Palmerston Club’s green on Saturday to play, a match for the Dixon Challenge Cup. The result was a win for the holders by 2-1 points to 18. Terrace End maintained a substantial lead until the 13th head, when the scores were: Palmerston North 10, Terrace End 17. Palmerston then commenced to add points, and won every remaining head with the exception of one. The personnel of the Palmerston Club’s Dixon Cnp team was altered from last week owing to the indisposition of N. H. Nash (skip). Saturday’s team was: 1C Ramsay, W. B. Jolly, W. E. Jones, and H. Seifert (skip). The next challenge is from Pahiatua, and the match will he played on the Palmerston Club’s green on Saturday.
