We have learnt much regarding- the hopes, aspirations, and trials of our fellow-coun-trymen in this Dominion, and they do not differ materially from those of the inhabitants of the Old Country. We shall carry away the remembrance of many personal friendships gained, and the recollection of a loyal and devoted people, whose determination and self-saeriiiee contributed to the consolidation of the Empire. We trust, in the years which are before us, that you will reai) all the benefits of happiness and success that Providence can bestow upon you.”
