CORRESPONDENCE.
(To the Editor.) Sir. —Without any intention of a controversy, may I inquire as to the ■whereabouts of the local-Band. We have not had the pleasure for a long while of being- charmed by their musical efforts, and seeing that,-the people provide a band-room free, and also a subsidy of £3O per year, surely it is time for the Band to give something in return for the above outlay. I think the Council should make it a condition the next time the mutter of a grant comes up to dereturn for the money. — I am, etc., POM-POM,
