CORRESPONDENCE.
(To the Editor.) Sir.~l read Avith interest the raid and prosecution in reference to the IAVO-up school at Wanganui, Avhich appeared in the “Herald.” But, Sir, it is common knowledge" that a similar school has been in operation' in Foxton for years. At one time lavo schools were in full sAving. The principal school uoav carries on operations near the race-course. The pity of these gambling assemblies is the attendance of young fellows in their teens. If these gamblers must carry on their illegal practices, they should at least prohibit boys from joining in. Each person avlio indulges in lAvo-up is a hiAv-breaker and an umvortliy citizen, but even so, I make an appeal to the ring-leaders to have a little consideration for the feelings of parents. —I am, etc., PARENT.
