SEPTEMBER WORKING
The amount <*f gas manufactured duriii;.'; (lie month of September was 470,300 ft., whieh, with the amount in holder on September Ist, 14,000 ft., -mule a total of 400,300 ft. The amount sold to eonsumevs (or lighting was 18.0,100 it., tor rooking' and beating 190,300 ft., and for power 53,900 ft., 21,000 ft. was used at the works,and manager’s house, and there was 12,000 it. in the holder on October Ist, leaving 22.000 11.. representing -1.0 per cent, of the output, unaccounted for. Forty-four tons of coal, including twelve t.ms of Taupiri, was carbcmsed. yielding 10,825 ft. per ton. MANAGER’S REPORT.
The amount of gits manulaelured for the month of September shows an increase over the previous month. The cost of fireclay goods to build a bed of two retorts will be about £53 landed at Eoxton, but they cannot bo supplied before April or i4iiy next, I would recommend (lie order be placed right away. I have been asked to give estimated cost for installing gas to one of the llaxmills. The plant is working satisfactorily.
