Three more candidates arc reported to he in ihe field for (he Otaki. seat, bringing the total up to five, assuming that Mr W. H. Field will seek re-election. The latest entries are: Mr C. J. Harkness, farmer, of Oban, and secretary of the Kuku Dairy Company, who will be an Independent; Mr E. Macdonald, farmer, of Te Horo, as a Liberal-Labour; and Mr A. J. R. Islienvood, proprietor of the Railway Hotel, Otaki, in Liberal interests. Mr J. M’Ken/.ic, Labour candidate, has already commenced his campaign.
