Subscriptions lu the “Victory’' Loan of £10,000,000, issued at par and carrying 4t per cent, interest, closed on Thursday. The actual results of (he issue will be available for publication in the course of a few days. It is understood that the information received by'the Treasury, so far as the public reception of Ihe loan, is satisfactory. Although the dale of subscription to the loan is officially passed, the Treasury is still accepting snbseriplions to the loan from banks, post offices, and other agencies.

Questioned on the subject, the Minister of Finance said it would he safe to say that the loan would be all right.
