Merryon, returning from an errand of mercy, finds a note from Vulcan demanding Puck’s return, and one from Puck begging forgiveness. Seizing a revolver, he hurries, to Vulcan just as Puck also arrives, Vulcan Ims been seized with a plague, and dies as Merryon takes Puck into his arms.
