ALL SAINTS’ CHURCH.
The annual sale of work in connection with All Saints Church took place in the Town Hall on Thursday afternoon ami evening. The various stalls presented a very gay appearance, each representing differeni kinds of (lowers. The work stall, under the supervision of Mesdames Easton. J. H. Robinson. Christie,” ’ Barber and Green, bore testimony to the loving laboured' artistic lingers, find many useful as well as ornamenial things were to be seen. The produce stall was in the hands of Mesdames John and Frank Bobinson and Miss Symons. The sweets stall, Mesdames Davies, P. Easton and Kellow. The cake stall, Mesdames Charles Robinson, Fume and Moorhohse. The tea stalls were in the hands of Mrs Austin-Johnston, and many helpers. It is quite impossible to give in detail the many ebarming little sidelights, but enough to say the whole affair from lirst to last was a splendid success from every -point of view, financially and otherwise. The total takings for (he day were £lOll 15s lOd. Mrs Harvey thus wins the competition for the cushion, her estimate of the takings being £ll.O. The winners of other competitions were';—Black cushion, Mrs Admore; water colour, Mrs Fraser; baby’s dress, Airs Cronquesi; nightdress, Mis F. Procter; cake, Mr Al. Kobiusoti: boxes of sweets, Miss G. Walker and Air A. X. Smith.
