FATAL MOTOR CYCLE ACCIDENT.

ONE PERSON KILLED; TWO INJURED. A fatal motor cycle accident oc : currcd at Wellington on Saturday evening, at the intersection of Thorudon Quay and Davis Street. Frederick William Jollands was killed, and William Gunter and George Sullivan received severe injuries. Gunttfr was in the saddle, and the other two men on the carrier. They were returning from a football match at Pefone. The cycle was, itis said, travelling at a high speed. At the bend where the accident occurred Qunter lost control, the machine skidded for about twelve yards, the foot-rest struck the kerb, and the machine crashed into a solid hoarding. Jollands was thrown high into the air, and, falling on his head, was killed outright. Gunter and Sullivan were also thrown against the hoarding, and the wrecked machine came down on top of them. The injured men were sent to the hospital. They were both suffering seriously from concussion, and were unconscious for several hours; it was not until late on Sunday night that they were reported to be out of danger.
