£750 FOR SLANDER.
Gisborne, Last Night
At the Supreme Court, before Mr Justice Chapman, William Leonard Butler sued Gracau Joseph Black for £.1,000 damages for slander. The jury, after a retirement of an hour and a-lialf, returned a verdict for plaintiff for £750.
