OBITUARY.

MBS. P. LUMSDEX—AGED 45. It is our painful duty to record the death of Mrs I’erey LiUnsden, which took place at noon to-day, at the comparatively early age .of 45 years. The deceased lady hail only been ill for a short While. Her condition was serious yesterday, and an operation was found necessary, which was performed last night. Mr’and Mrs Lumsden have resided in Foxton tor the past nine years. They were married in Yorkshire, England, and came to New Zealand 25 years ago,, living in Masterton and 'Wellington before coming to Foxton. The deceased leaves a husband and four daughters, to whom we extend our sympathy in the loss they have sustained.
