SALEYARDS AT FOXTON.

We are .pleased to announce to„ ruir readers that the well 'known linn of live stock aiiclioncevs, Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd.,_ have just completed the erection of up-to-date sale yards at I*oxton, and (hat it is the intention to hold regular stock sales from this date. Many years ago regular stock sales were held in Fox ton, but owing to the district making little progress at (lie lime it was found advisable to discontinue them. Now, however, things have changed, and in common with other districts Fox ton is making rapid progress. The live Harbour Board which controls the port is out to pul the town in the important position that it warrants, and 1 here is no doubt that ere long shipping will become ol considerable importance and .full advantage will be taken by business men of the facilities offered both for importing and-exporting through the port. The-’rich country that lies between l<\>xton and Levin, and Foxtail and Shannon, is being brought more and more into productivity, and the linn has realised that the district warrants an up-to-date sale yard. It only remains for the seltiers to patronise the yards freely, and thus reward the enterprl,-e of Abraham and Williams, Led., as well as serve (heir own ends.
