THE SEASIDE RESORT.
Air A. (t. Dawick, chairman of the Eoxton Beach Improvement Committee, informs us that the Committee has received a cheque for .CIO from the Eoxton Borough Council for improvement purposes. The Commit lee desire to publicly thank the Council for the generous donation.
The social held in the Beach Hall on the sth inst. resulted in £2 17s 3d being added to the improvement ftind. A very enjoyable social time Avas spent on the occasion, and the ladies supplied a nice supper. The expenses incurred Avere Us Jd.
A man has been put on clearing
a portion of the recreation ground, in order that it may tie in readiness for the .-ports meeting to be held on Now Year’s Day. A start is also !o be made clearing the fence line, and when the ground is dry fencing operations will be gone on Aviih.
funds are solicited by the Committee for •further beautifying and improving the resort.
