RED SHIELD CLUB.
A most successful day was held by Airs W. E. Barber’s committee of the Ladies’ Auxiliary of the Red Shield Club on Saturday laH. The ladies of the committee, comprising Aiesdames W. E. Barber, Fume, Moore, Kellow, Tyer and Aliss Eraser, opened the patriotic shop in Alain Street, and offered for sale gifts supplied by the following; Mr W, Barber, Mrs Francis, Airs AfcAturray, Airs Ingle, Mrs Sid. Easton, Atrs Peter Robinson, Airs Eraser, Air Pcrreau, Air Bauekham, Airs Healey, Ah Hart, Mrs John Robinson, Airs Alcxf Ross, Aliss Ross, Miss Symons, Airs R. Atoore, Chung Wall, Airs Chrystall, Air O. Robinson, Ah Ale Knight, Airs Jas. Robinson, Airs Furrie, Airs Kellow, Airs Green, Airs AV. E. Barber, Air P. AY. Brown, Aliss Thynne, Airs Freeman, Airs Austin-Johnston,-Airs J. Cuinnierfield, Airs Chas. Robinson, Airs F. Robinson, Ahs P. Easton, Airs A. S. Easton, Aliss Bryant, Ahs Gower, Airs Renton, Airs . Signal, Airs Tyer, Air Parkin, Ahs F. Procter, Ahs AYoodham, Ah Bock, Ahs Purcell, Airs Baker, Ahs Stewart, Airs Aloorhouse, Ahs Hawke, Air A, Osborne, Ahs C. Symons.
The end of a strenuous day found the funds of the Club augmented by £22 3s 7d as the result of the eager salesmanship of these ladies, who desire to thank all thosp who contributed gifts. The social afternoon held earlier In the week raised £3 13s Od, so that this committee have altogether realised £25 IGs 7d. Miss Fraser, the hon. secretary of the Ladies' Auxiliary, acknowledges further cash donations from the following ladies: r- Mrs M. hi. Perreau, Mrs 'James Barber, Mrs A. Fraser, Miss Duncan, Mrs Hawke, Airs A. S. Tvaston, Mrs Symes, Mrs Cronquest, Mrs F. Robinson, Airs Jonhs, amounting in all to £5 2s Cd.
